About High Heart Reiki
Usui/Holy Fire® III is a specific lineage of Reiki that combines the original Usui system of healing (which was over 100 years ago in Japan) with Holy Fire® energy - a refined, spiritually evolved form of Reiki introduced by William Lee Rand in 2014. It is widely considered one of the most advanced and effective forms of Reiki currently taught. All of my training has been facilitated by my teacher Caroline Paradis, Reiki Master.
People come to Reiki for all kinds of reasons. And truly, there is no wrong one. Some of the most common reasons include:
stress, anxiety, and burnout
chronic pain or physical tension
grief and emotional processing
cancer support
fertility journeys and pregnancy
sleep difficulties
general overwhelm
Some of my clients come in with a very specific intention. Others simply come because something inside them said it was time. Both are equally welcome here.
No, Reiki is not a religion. It's a spiritual healing practice, but it doesn't require any specific beliefs system - and it doesn't conflict with any religion, either. You don't have to believe in anything for Reiki to support you, and if you do have a faith, Reiki can be a beautiful complement to your personal spiritual path.
Not at all. Reiki works whether or not you believe in it. It's a gentle support for your body's natural healing process, and many people feel the effects even if they were skeptical at first.
Honestly... maybe! I was trained as a nurse, which means I was trained to trust what can be measured and proven. I get the skepticism completely. What I’d say is this: you don’t have to believe in anything for Reiki to support you. Many of my most enthusiastic clients came in as skeptics. All you have to do is show up and lie down. Your nervous system will take it from there.
Reiki is not a replacement for medical treatment, but research increasingly supports its role in reducing anxiety, easing physical tension, and supporting the nervous system. Many people find it helps them feel calmer, lighter, and more able to cope with whatever they’re facing. I’m happy to share more about the research if you’re curious!
Yes! Reiki is gentle, non-invasive, and completely safe for children. In fact, children are often wonderfully receptive to energy healing, since they tend to be naturally intuitive and respond beautifully to Reiki's calming effects. Research supports Reiki's role in reducing anxiety and supporting the nervous system, which can be especially beneficial for children navigating stress, big emotions, or the general overwhelm of growing up in a busy world.
At this time, I am not currently offering dedicated sessions for children, but I am happy to discuss whether Reiki might be a good fit for your child and to recommend other practitioners that you could look in to!
Yes. Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that can support people of all ages and conditions. It complements medical care, therapy, and other healing modalities beautifully.
