Frequently asked questions
General
Reiki is gentle and non-invasive, and it's generally safe for everyone - including those who are pregnant, living with chronic illness, or navigating mental health challenges. That said, I always encourage open communication before your session so we can adjust the approach to meet your specific needs. Whether you're recovering from surgery, living with a medical diagnosis, or simply feeling sensitive, Reiki can be adapted to support you with care and respect. It's never a replacement for medical treatment, but it can be a nourishing part of your healing journey
No, Reiki is not a religion. It's a spiritual healing practice, but it doesn't require any specific beliefs system - and it doesn't conflict with any religion, either. You don't have to believe in anything for Reiki to support you, and if you do have a faith, Reiki can be a beautiful complement to your personal spiritual path.
You'll sit or lie down in a quiet, peaceful setting. At the same time, I will be activating distance Reiki and sending energy healing to you from the Reiki studio. As with hands-on sessions, many people feel warmth, tingling, or a deep relaxation - some even drift into a meditative, restful state. There's no pressure to "feel" anything specific; every experience is unique.
