Meet The Practitioner

Sara Christian, energy healer

Some paths to healing begin with a textbook. Mine began in the oncology unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, and later, in a cancer infusion center, watching a Reiki volunteer place her hands gently on a patient mid-chemotherapy and seeing something in that room shift.

I’m Sara Christian, a Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master and registered nurse with over 15 years of clinical experience. I live in Lakeville, MA with my husband and our daughter - and I bring all of who I am into this work.

My introduction to energy healing came while working as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, where I became trained in Therapeutic Touch. Something about that practice - the idea that we could support healing through intention and presence, not just procedure - never left me. It planted a seed that took root slowly and quietly over years of clinical work.

My nursing journey has taken me through some of the most profound human experiences medicine holds. I spent five years in bone marrow transplant, five years as an oncology infusion nurse, three years as an oncology nurse navigator guiding patients through some of the most overwhelming moments of their lives, and I currently work in outpatient obstetrics and gynecology. Fifteen years of sitting with people in their most vulnerable, courageous, tender moments.

That shapes everything about how I practice Reiki.

I’m not just familiar with what you may be navigating - I’ve been in the room for it. I understand what a cancer diagnosis means emotionally and physically. I understand the particular exhaustion of being a caregiver who keeps showing up for everyone else. And I understand the grief that lives quietly inside a fertility journey, because I’ve lived it myself.

Infertility brought me to my knees in ways I didn’t expect... the anxiety, the depression, the loss of trust in my own body. Reiki found me there. And when I was finally pregnant, Reiki held me through that too. That personal journey didn’t just deepen my faith in this work - it gave me a place inside it that no certification ever could.

About ten years ago I was introduced to Reiki, and what began as curiosity became a calling. I became a Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki practitioner in 2022, completed my Level II initiation in 2024, and became a Reiki Master in April 2026, all under the guidance of my teacher Caroline Paradis, Reiki Master.

What I offer isn’t Reiki despite being a nurse. It’s Reiki because of everything being a nurse has taught me about the human body, the human spirit, and the sacred space where the two meet.

I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken. It is about remembering what has always been whole.

I would be honored to hold that space for you.

A Few Things That Make Me, Me

  • I will always take time before your session to truly hear what you’re carrying

  • I believe your lived experience and your energetic experience are equally important

  • I believe that healing belongs to everyone - my practice is a proudly inclusive, affirming space for all identities and backgrounds.

  • I keep learning - because you deserve someone who never stops growing

  • My own daughter has been receiving Reiki since she was small - and her enthusiasm for it is my favorite endorsement of all
